Preceding the installation, the executive officers of the guard ian council and line officers of the bethel honored Mrs. Schild and Mrs. Elhart at dinner in Medford at the Jackson hotel. During the meeting, Mrs. Set ness was presented her past guardian pin from the bethel and she in turn presented the Beulah Faber Traveling Guardian Pin to the new guardian, Mrs. Snook. Queen Vicki congratulated the new members of the council as did Mrs. Schild and other guests. Vistors and members introduced were Mrs. Paul Selby, guardian of Bethel 55 and librarian of the Grand Guardian Council; Jean Reed, guardian of Bethel 22, Ashland; Margaret Selby, junior princess of Bethel 55 and Grand Bethel Marshal; Key Askwith, chaplain of Bethel 38 and Grand Bethel Inner Guard; Marcia Clary, queen elect of Bethel 22 and Grand Bethel representative to Alberta, Canada; Vic Noe!, past associate guardian of Bethel 38; Martha Elhart, past grand guardian and past guardian of Bethel 22; Mrs. Melvin McGrew, worthy matron of Nevita chap ter, Central Point and Melvin McGrew, associate guardian of Bethel 38 and grand junior cust odian. Bethel 38 will hold initiation June 14 and the affair will be formal. Christian Circle Meets at Reames Women of the Christian Circle of the First Presbyterian church of Central Point met for the May meeting at the home of Mrs. E. E. Reames on Crater Lake highway. A dessert luncheon was serv ed by the hostess and Mrs. O. T. Wilson preceding the business meeting. Mrs. Donald E. Faber, president, presided over the meeting. Guests were Dr. and Mrs. Bert Elliott, who showed some of their pictures of the Holy Land. Historical Society Schedules Meeting Annual meeting of the South ern Oregon Historical Society will be held June 4 in the Ma sonic hall in Jacksonville. Din ner will be prepared and served at 6:30 p.m. by the ladies of the Eastern Star for $1.50 per plate. After the dinner and election of officers, all who care to will visit the museum. Funds derived go to the han dicap aid equipment pool. Oregon Dimes March Sets New High Mark The 1956 March of Dimes cam paign in Oregon set a new all- time high record of $687,557.85 passing the 1955 total of $681,- 404.94. it was reported today by N. Thos. Stoddard, state March of Dimes chairman. Stoddard praised the county campaign directors and their workers for doing an outstand ing job.
