TABLE ROCK—It seems there
are some in the community who
are dissatisfied with School Dis
trict 6 turning the use of the
school house over to the Sunday
school and have complained to
the school board.
This was not known to any
members of the Sunday school
until too late to be able to
answer said protests. The Sun
day school was to have the up
keep of the building, allowing
other organizations the use as a
meeting place.
Those who are protesting, as
far as this writer can find out.
never come to Sunday school
nor to our community meetings
and as it does not effect their
pocket book in the way of taxes
nor upkeep, we wonder why they
are so active in protesting. Why
can’t a meeting be called to sat
isfy all concerned and openly and
not go behind the backs of the
committee chosen to take care
of this matter, E. Nealon. Bert
Pierce and Ed Robinson.
The reason for turning it over
to the Sunday school was purely
financial as no other organiza
tion is able to pay the bills and
the Sunday school uses the build
ing more than others also.
No one is so disallusioned as
to think any one man would pay
taxes and the upkeep on prop
erty to be used freely by the
whole community so something
had better be done quickly as
District 6 would very much like
to get out from under the ex-
. pense and doesn’t care who
takes over.
This seems to be the time of
campaign speeches and so come
on Table Rock before we lose
our last one remaining medium
of community spirit left us.
Mrs. Doris Nealon had minor
