Deans Honored
At Flower Show
Mrs. Ralph Dean was an hon­
ored guest at the Central Point
Garden club annual flower show
held Tuesday afternoon at the
Legion Memorial hall.
The Dean family home on Old
Stage road, which has been in
the family since 1852, was fea­
tured in a large mural painting
highlighting the show theme,
"Old Stage Road." Mrs. Dean and
her son, Frank, resale in the
family home. Her daughter, Mrs.
Leonard Freeman, lives on Wil­
son road.
The large colorful mural was
painted by Warren Holbrook,
Crater High art instructor, and
members of his art classes.
Gleason Honored At
Birthday Party
M. C. Gleason Sr. was guest
of honor at a birthday party
held Sunday, April 17. at the
Gleason home on Manzanita
street.
He was presented with custom
stocked rifle which his son,
James, and his wife had prepared
for him.
Present for the party were
Mrs. M. C. Gleason Sr., Mr. and
Mrs. James R. Gleason and child­
ren, Mr. and Mrs John Jones
and Miss LuEllis Bodin
B. Ackley Initiated
By Theta Rho Girls
Barbara Ackley was initiated
into Beta Chi Theta Rho Girls
club at the April 13 meeting held
at the IOOF hall.
President Barbara Swanson
presided in her chair.
Following the meeting, the
girls worked on their projects of
flower making and cake decorat­
ing.
At the IOOF meeting on Mon­
day, April 18, several Theta Rho
girls entertained lodge members
with a skit.

Hurt in Wreck
At Table Rock

SAMS VALLEY—Mrs. Truman
Price was injured last Thursday
morning in a collision with a
car parked on the Sams Valley
road near Table Rock estates. The
car belonged to D. M. Mahoney.
Mrs. Price is still hospitalized
with an an injured chest and
throat. She is a nurse at Sacred
Heart hospital in Medford.
G. A. Kanzler of Portland has
been a visitor at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Mack. Mr.
Knazler is Mrs. Mack’s father.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Sanderson
enjoyed a weekend visit with
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Daniel of Los
Angeles, Calif. The Daniels are
formerly of Sams Valley.

mobile accident Saturday, April
