is Oregon's 1955 high school champion in serious reading. He won
top honor last Saturday night in the annual speech tournament
at Eugene. Pictured with him is Donald Lacy. Crater High speech
coach. Verity Day of Crater placed third in humorous reading.
Thirty-seven schools and 161 students competed.

The new service station was
recently completed at an estimat
ed cost of $25,000.
A grand opening will be held
at the station at a later date.
The station has been opened to
check installation of equipment
and for stocking.
Ninmo, who has made his home
on Route 1 for the past two years,
operated a ^service station for
five years back east. He also
formerly operated a bulk oil sta
tion for a major petroleum com
pany.
