New four-inch pipe for city
water main was received Mon
day. This initial shipment con
tained 1350 feet of pipe. Street
Supt. Art Rupp planned to start
work today, Thursday, on the
water main work in the Oak
Knoll sub-division.

Strawberry Glaze Pie
3*>4 Cups strawberries (1 qt.

2 T cornstarch

1 cup water
Line baked shell with berries.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt
and water. Cook over low heat
until thickened and clear. Pour
glaze over the berries. Chill
just before serving, garnish with
whipped cream and whole ber

or whole raspberries may also

Mrs. Marian Wood of Fort
Worth, Texas, has been visiting
her brother, Kenneth Hubbart,
domiciliary member at Camp
White. Hubbart is former associ
ate publisher of the Central
Point American when thé news
paper was owned by Kenneth
Powell. Mrs. Wood visited
friends in Chester, N.H., and re
latives at Great Falls, Mont, and
Spokane, Wash., before coming
to Oregon. Her stay ' at Camp
White is indefinite. Mrs. Wood’s
last visit to the Rogue River
valley was in 1937.
