Opening the meeting with the pre sentation o? the colors and the flag salute, the scouts then turned the meeting over to the eighth grade class. Two song* by the class and a reading by Miss Iris Hill were much enjoyed. Mrs. Williams, president of the or ganization. presented Mr. Beesley, Scout Executive of the Crater Lake Area of Boy Scouts, who gave a very interesting talk on "Youth in the Modern World." Mr. Beesley presented Mr. Stone. Mr. Phillips, Mr. Vincent, Mr. Kelly, and Mr. Scott with membership cards and complimented them on be ing Interested enough to be present at the meeting. The scouts, lead by Ed Vincent, gave demonstrations of work learn ed. This consisted of knot-tying by Hal Jewett and Bob Gresham: ad ministration of first aid by Bob Vin cent, Woodrow Phillips, Kenneth Wiliams, Abner Knadler, Vernon Holland, Harold Pierce, aud Tony Coy; signalling by second class scouts Albert Thompson, and Mike Tbornley; and signalling by first class Scouts Nell Stone, Vernon Hol land, and Gray Thompson. The scouts concluded with having the audience sing the song "Ham and Eggs” , lead by Mr. Beesley. Mrs. Williams continued the meet ing with reports of the various com mittees. Miss Alice Anderson was elected secretary for the place vacat ed by the resignation of Mrs. Thomp son, who has moved from this dis trict. Mr. Jewett introduced all the teachers, both new and old, to the parents and friends present. Upon conclusion of the meeting refreshments of punch, sandwiches, and .cookies were served by the seventh grade mothers. PAO* v ir a posit".
