Springdale a suburb of Holyoke it
was necessary to carry people out
of flooded buildings in
boats.
Holyoke dam,* one o f the largest
in the world withstood the flood,
but water overflowed the gala
house windows.
Mr. W. P. Walters, secretary of
the Y. M. C. A. went to Central
Point Monday to attend a meeting
of the Ministerial Association.
Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Knott of
Portland are in this city for sev­
eral weeks to stay. Mr. Knott is
installing the X-Ray machine at
Dr. Swedenburg’s office.
Mrs. W. S. Alderman, promin­
ent society leader and club wo­
man of Tillamook, is a visitor at
the Ashland Hotel this Winter.
Mrs. Alderman is taking a rest
from public activities, and knows
no better place than Ashland in
which to recuperate.
