Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Svans visited over the week-end w ith Mr. and Mrs. H. M. The Quality service station was broken into last S aturday night and a num ber of things stolen. The p ar ties are known and the owner says if the stolen articles are returned nothing will be said ab out it. O ther wise he will prosecute. A new pump is being installed a t th e Quality service station and U nion-W hite gasoline will be sold. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Rush left by m otor fo r San Francisco last Tues- day. The p arty held at the club house S aturday night, April 23, the Let- term ens club of the high school, was a success in every respect and delightful to all in attendance. We are glad they enjoyed The new house, and like to have them use it. The p arty given at the Elks last week by the Elks ladies, was well atten d ed by Elks and their wives from this community. A t the m eeting of the Southern Oregon F ederation of Womens clubs held in G rants Pass Saturday, April 23, Mrs. Edwin Dunn, Mrs. W. G. Tucker and the president, Mrs. W. D. Jackson, w ent as delegates from the Upper Valley Community club. It was a m ost interesting session and m any fine reports were made ut the business meeting. Miss G race Cham berlain of Ash land was made president by the Federation and Mrs. W. G. Tucker of Bellview-Ashland. corresponding secretary. The m eeting of the Fed eration will be held next year in Medford. A pretty reunion of the children of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Gregory of C entral P oint was held Sunday. It was in the n atu re of a surprise for Mr. and Mrs. Gregory, and in honor of th eir fo rte ith wedding ^anniver sary. Those from this community who were there were Mr. and Mrs. Mark True, Mr. and Mrs. Loreen G regory and children and Mr. and Mrs. Sellers and litle girl. The music will be furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Dickey. This will follow the play given by the Soda Springs school, hut they are in no way con nected. The dance will be given by m cm ers of the Com munity club ns usual, the pla yis under the Soda Springs m anagem ent. The pupils o f the Bellview school are g ettin g into shupe, with hard practice, to take part in the rural field m eet, to be held a t the county fair grounds the 30th of April. Nance and son of Medford spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Glenn. Mr. and Mrs. John Morse, Mrs. Stella Morse and family spent last Sunday with Mrs. Alice Black of Medford. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McCracken gave a birthday dinner for th eir son George last Sunday. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Yeo and family and John Bilings of Ashland and Keith Lennox. Russell Bishop, who is employed by the Copco at Prospect came down for the week-end, then took his wife and son back with him to Prospect where they will spend the summer. John Arnold is in Jacksonville again this week on jury duty. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Judy and daughters of Griffin creek spent Sunday afternoon at the J. R. Mc Cracken home. Mr. and Mrs. D. L.
