Miss Lucile Holdridge returned
from Corvallis Tuesday evening
where she attended the educational
exposition over the week-end and
visited her brother, Wayne, who is
attending O. A. C. Miss Holdridge
left Corvallis Sunday evening on the
Southern Pacific and after various
delays arrived in Koseburg Monday
night. Tuesday morning she was for
tunate in finding an Ashland taxi
driver, who had driven a party
through from Ashland to Koseburg
to take the train, and in company
with Miss Hale o f Ashland, secured
passage home.
Miss Ruth Hackler went to Port
land lust Friday evening where she
visited over the week-end with her
sisters, Misses Madge and Ada Hack
ler. She returned Tuesday night via
Klamath Fulls. Mrs. C. K. Borg sub
stituted for her Monday and Tues
day.
Our basketball boys made a trip
to Jacksonville last Friday evening.
The Jacksonville five proved too
much for them.
Lester Newbry has been ill with
the flu the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Baker of Butte Falls
spent Tuesday night with Mr. and
Mrs. R. Larson, returning home Wed-
nesduy morning.
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Eavons were

ton’s birthday party. Miss Ruth Bow-
manand Miss Lois Hanson of Ashland
took part in the program, giving a
French costum dance in keeping with
colonial times which was much en
joyed by all present.
The Queen Esther social enjoyed
a party in honor of Geo. Washing
ton at the home of Mrs. C. E. Borg
last Friduy evening.
A bicycle belonging to Tom Ed-
munson was taken from the Rush
service station where Tom has park
ed it for a few minutes last Friday
evening. To date, it hus not been re
turned.
The car belonging to Mrs. W'm.
Gentry o f Phoenix was blown cross
wise of the Pacific highway by the
high wind last Saturday evening.
Gentry had parked beside the high
way and was making a call on Mrs.
Wells at the county farm. The car
was noticed by the traffic officer in
time, so nn accident was averted.
The Talent community club will
give a arty and old time dance at
their club rooms Saturday night,
March 6, to members und their
friends. Gentlemen will be charged

The Connors family arrived last
week from Filer, Idaho, and are liv

church, formerly occupied by Mr. and

be present. Friends extended con
gratulations and wish Mr. and Mrs.
Estes many more happy years to
