Hannaford is known far and wide as the greatest circus performer in his especial line in the world. Others whose fame is widespread are the Flying Wards, the Sells-Floto clown army, the three herds o f performing elephants, included in which are the only elephants who give an exhibition o f the now famous “ Charleston,” and said to be perfectly trained in this novelty. There are also the 60 Liberty horses, half a hundred performing lions, tigers, leopards, polar bears and others, the programs given by each and by the mixed gToups being thrilling and exciting in the extreme. Practically two hours is given over to the performance in the main tent, and the three rings, steel arena and stages are filled with action every minute o f the 12U. The opening spectacle is a pageant o f color and beauty and serves to introduce the 1,000 people to the audience. Sells-Floto is the exception among circuses, being absolutely clean, and being at the same time exclusively a circus that has retained the feat ures that make performances o f this kind enjoyable to every person who at 8 p. m. Sells-Floto has not raised the price o f admission from its al ways popular figures, another thing that has made it popular with the masses. 1 P F ha colder than ice? Take Your PICK HOLLAND RANCHER TIES DEER BEFORE MOWING Deer have often been the cause o f ruined crops in the Rogue valley, but now comes the first instance ever reported o f deer holding up harvest ing operations. Before Ed McCann, o f Holland, can mow his meadow grass, he must thoroughly inspect his field for fawns. Recently he had two o f the little fellows tied up to the fence with ropes which he cut the tall grass in the field. As soon as the hay is down, he releases the fawns and they go back to their mothers. Mr. McCann re port* that this is a common occur rence on his farm and that he was forced to start tieing them up after he had almost killed several, lying down in the U ll grass, with the mower. Deer are reported exceptionally numerous in the valley this year and local hunters are expecting unusual hunting when the season opens. --------- o--------- -4 Central Point American But you can’ t.
