a t Grant« Fuss. Mr. Rusk is the
man who has furnished the Portland j
Orejfonian with interesting articles
based on facts concerning the life
o f the early settler in the Oregon
Country, and is the author of the
historical book entitled, “ Tales o f a
W estern Mountaineer.”
As Mr. Rusk was especially liberal
in furnishing news from the office
o f the Ju stice o f Peace, in which i
I capacity he was serving last Ju n e, 1
during the time we assisted in the
publication of The Spokesman, we
