'T 'H E great Southern Oregon Chautauqua to be held in
the new Auditorium at Ashland, July 11 to 20 inclu
sive, is attracting a great deal of attention this year.
The reason for this special interest is the fact that the
new Auditorium will be finished in time for use this
season.
Another special attraction ths year is the camping-
privileges.
Those desiring to camp out during the Chau
tauqua session may do so in beautiful Lithia Park, where
the Auditorium is situated. Lithia Park is one o f the
most beautiful natural parks in the West.
Another feature that is attracting wide attention this
year is the unusually fine program. M. C. Reed, presi
dent of the Chautauqua Association, says that the pro
gram this year will be by far the best ever put on in the
history of the Ashland Chautauqua.
