Texas. The train passed thru ahead of No. 13 'so no one was a t the depot to g reet him. However, his cousins. Miss Pearl and Miss E sther Pankey, happened to see Earl waving from the platform of the train. They phoned to the depot to be sure th a t they were not mistaken. They next phoned to Clarence Lovern and engaged him to hurry them to A sh land in his auto, as th a t was their only chance of seeing Earl. In spite of a blow-out, however, th ey arrived in Ashland in time to spend ten minutes with Earl. They also presented him with a basket of good things to eat which the business men, friends, and relatives nad prepared for him. Ear was delighted with this manifestation of good will and friendship of his many friends and relatives at home. Earl is on his way to join the A via tion Corps.
