Eli Jones and Mr. Painter returned
Friday from a successful deer hunt in
the Evans creek country. Mr. Jones
bagged a fine, fat specimen, and so pe­
culiar were the circumstances of the
buck’s taking off that it took Mr.
Jones sometime to determine wheth< r
his shot had took effect or the deer had
died from heart failure.
The ladies of Rebekah lodge will give
an old fashioned candy pulling Oct.
18th in the lodge room. Each lady is
