guests, Miss Cordelia and Mrs. Goffe
being the hostesses. Going by train to
Central Point, carriages met the class
members and conveyed them to the
home, which is two miles distant from

where Mrs. and Miss Goffe and two

ceived, a novel idea was carried out by
the replacing of electric light by can
dles, many being in evidence in each
nook and corner; also in the jack-o’-lan
terns. Most of the evening was taken
up by the serving of a three course
supper, partners being found in the
following way: Paper pnmpkins. cat
and witches, on which were written the
girls’ names, were fastened to the wail.
The boys were then made to use these
as targets, shooting with bow and
arrow, the young lady whose name ap
peared on the article being the com
panion for the evening. The menu con
sisted of cold meats, sandwiches, pota

and wafers. Those who accepted Mrs.
