The local baseball team went to Eagle
Point Sunday and waxed it to the
onion raisers to a fare-you-well. Ttie
game started off fast and furious, and
in the first five innings only one tally,
and it to the credit of the Eagle Point
ers, broke the monotony of the long
rows o f "goose eggs” which were lined
up on the score card. Then, in the
sixth, the Central Pointers woke up
and brought in five nice ones and the
Eagles packed in three. Then there was
a let up till the ninth, when Central
Point again came to the front with
three and the game was theirs by a
score o f eight to four.
Features of the game were Pankey's
pitching and the excellent batting dune
by his team.
