new management last Thursday morn
ing, when Mr. J. N. Herndon, who
recently arrived from California and
secured a lease on the property, as
sumed the management.
Mr. Herndon is experienced in the
hotel business, and proposes to give
the public first-class accommodations
in the hostelry line.

day evening, Dee. 15th. The club is
also advertising a grand Christmas ball
to be given under the auspices o f the
club Christmas evening. Chamber
lain’ s orchestra will furnish the music
on that occasion and the affair promises
to be one o f the swellest o f the season.
