The Hotel Williams passed under
new management last Thursday morn­
ing, when Mr. J. N. Herndon, who
recently arrived from California and
secured a lease on the property, as­
sumed the management.
Mr. Herndon is experienced in the
hotel business, and proposes to give
the public first-class accommodations
in the hostelry line.

pleasant meetings o f the year. Four
new members were initiated into the
mysteries o f the order. The following

A banquet followed this profitable
meeting.
A number o f the young men about
town have organized the Central Point
Dancing Club, and the first club dance
o f the season will be given next Satur­
day evening, Dee. 15th. The club is
also advertising a grand Christmas ball
to be given under the auspices o f the
club Christmas evening. Chamber­
lain’ s orchestra will furnish the music
on that occasion and the affair promises
to be one o f the swellest o f the season.
