Teddy, the second, is just now

tention with his illustrious daddy.
Young Rosey has, within the
week, been reported engaged to

the daily papers.
A. Portland minister said in a
sermon last Sunday that "godli
ness pays even in politics.”
Wonder how he made this dis
covery? It hasn’t appeared in
any recently published news
paper or magazine article touch
ing on politics and politicians
that any American politician has
tried the experiment.
While the Hood River Valley
and the Willamette: Valley are
scrapping about the excellence
of their apples, the epicures of
the world are busily muncing the
Rogue River Valley product and
declaring, "Never tasted any
thing so good in my life,” and,
after all, that’s what counts.

merit that the Guard does in bringing
that city and surrounding community
to the front.
People who are disposed to poke fun
at the Willammette Valley should se
