A pet dog belonging to one o f the
fashionable ladies o f Medford bit a
tramp the other day and the lady was
much worried for fear it might prove
fatal to Fido, as the tramp didn’ t have
a very healthy look about him.

A Jacksonville man went hunting the

pasture and killed it. A s the man was
never known to have killed anything in
the last fifteen years, his friends are
trying to make out that it was a pet
deer he killed, and even go so far as to
say it had a red ribbon around its neck.
A farmer living near Talent tied his
chickens to the roosts the other night i
in order to foil the chicken thieves who
were operating in that locality. He i
forgot to nail down the roosts, and the
chicken thieves just simply shouldered
the roosts, chickens and all, and walked
off with them without even leaving a
card o f thanks.
