The allies have further suggested
that this commiasion continue to func
tion during the life of the Rhine pact
negotiated at Locarno. In the German
view this would extend the commis
sion’s life indefinitely. The Germans
point out that the Rhino pact remains
In force until the league of nations

The Germans are said to be abso
lutely opposed to accepting sueh •
commission beyond 1930 and some of
them think that It would be Infinitely
better to drop all evacuation negotia

The French idea is that the five
countries signatory to ths Rhine pact
—France, Germany, Belgium, Great
Britain and Italy—ahould be repre
sented on the commission. Whether
it would sit permanently at Cologne
or merely meet when occasion Justi
fies is still under discussign.

idge has every expectation that suffi

all heads of departments to refrain

state bonus funds have been lent to
10,709 Oregon veterana of the world
war and the Spanish-American war
since the state aid act became oper
ative May 1, 1922, according to Secre
tary of State Koser.
All of theae loans are secured by
first mortgages on real property. To
date theft has been repaid on there
loans 13,248,882.27 and Interest aggre
gating 13,407,380.61.
Approximately
84,580,000 haa been dispensed in cash
bonuses, ot which 2353,145 has been
repaid by veterana who later elected
to take advantage of the loan privilege.
In spite of the large number of loans
made the state has found it necessary
to foreclose on only 149 loans aggre
gating 1889,125.

war pact has not been revealed, it is
learned that in it the foreign minister.
