“ Frivolous Sal ”
Friday, September 11
Probably many people will never be fortunate enough to visit
Rainier National Park in Washington and marvel st the scenic
beauties there; or to go through the picturesque mining country
of the Couer d’Alenes in Idaho and see men gouging precious
metal from the heart of the earth. But those who have never
seen this with their own eyes may enjoy it just the same in
watching J. K. McDonald's First National Picture, “Frivolous
Sal,’’ which will be at Moro theatre during Sherman County
Fair week. Mount Rainier, a gigantic peak mantled with per
petual snow, rears its head above the little mining village where
the action of the story takes place.
Strongheart in “ White Fang ”
”
r
Saturday, September 12
Strongheart the John Barrymore of Dog Actors—a fourfooted
Edwin Booth that registers joy, grief, fury that gives in “White
Fang”this thundering classic of the Alaskan snows the most a-
mazing exhibition of canine histrionism, the most stunning reve
lation of dog psychology ever shown on the screen. A smashing
story from the now silent pen of Jack London laid amid the ice
and snow and death dealing cold of the arctic regions, a frozen
hell of desolation and mockery with love warming the souls of
the stalwart. Produced by Laurence Trimble and Jane Murfin,
and directed by Laurence Trimble.
“The Saddle Hawk”
,
Saturday, September 19
Hoot Gibson in “The Saddle Hawk” 1« a corking, «mashing story
with a big dramatic climax, punchy scenes, stirring action and
strong romance, don’t miss this epic of the cattle country when
the cattle man was king.
“ HU Majesty, The American ”
Sunday Afternoon, September 20
For those who say that there is* nothing new under the sun,
Douglas Fairbanks’ new picture, “His Majesty, the American,
will bjp a tonic.
We had thought that Mr. Fairbank* had done
about everything that mortals can do—and stay whole.
But
we were wrong.
And if his future screen offerings furnish as
much real entertainment as does this one, we hope to continue
to be wrong.
