Some people will wonder where
Harold Lloyd found the “model” for
hie characterization in “Dr. Jack,”
hia newest feature comedy, which
wHi come to the House of Good
Pictures this next Saturday and
Sunday.
While Lloyd was making his new
comedy, be had visits from many well
known physiciana, who gave him
valuable advice in the development
of his story. One was Dr. Peck, an
eminent eye, n^se and throat special
ist of Chicago.
When Dr. Peck had the story' of
“Dr. Jack” outlined to him by Lloyd,
be laughed heartily, for it brought to
his mind “Dr. Sunshine,” as one of
Chicago’s foremost specialists in
children’s diseases is known.
“Dr. Sunshine" effects his cures
just as Lloyd does in “Dr. Jack".
Sunahine, a little candy, and wonders
are worked by this noted Chicago
physician, in his own peculiar way.
In his medicine case—or what should
be bis medicine case,—he carries jars
of jelly, lolly pops, and mo«t every
thing but medicine.
Lloyd had never heard of this
doctor before hia visit from Dr. Peck,
who assured him, however, that in
hia many years of practice, he had
met many physicians who will prob
ably be known aa “Dr. Jack," when
the new Lloyd comedy is exploited
throughout the country.
