Though »he distribution of the winter precipitatioo this year was March ^ 1 $ 1 5 unfavorable, most of it coming when the ground was frozen and therefor lost as run-off flood water during the thaw last month, it will be of ioterest to know that the precipitation for February, 1915. was 2.31 inches, that being th e highest amount received during any February for the past ten years and, that practically all of the rainfall received in this county during February has soaked into the ground. Undoubtedly every one will be interested in the following rainfall tables prepared for the readers of the Observer by Supterintendent D. E. M organ Several weeks ago the Board- man literary society gave a mina- ture field meet for an evening en tertainment and Into Saturday evening the losing side entertain ed the winning side and their friends with two short comedies, using a temporary ten by twenty foot stage which had been built for the occasion with curtaih* ar ranged to raise and lower that added materially to the success of the entertainment. * A comedy entitled “ Hans Von Smash** was the first production, R. C. Byers taking the character of Hans; Charles Kenney imper sonating M r. Bach; Miss Mabie Byers and Mrs. W ilford Belshee, Bach’s daughters; W ilford Belshee and Clarence Sparling, suitors; Mrs. Daisy Christiansen, maid.
