Special revival and evangelistic services are designed for lome, thing more in community Ife lhan merely an excuse for burning wood and using electricity. Self ishness upon the part of those who should be most interested in a progressive betterment o f social conditions is more manifest by the with holding of moral support proven by non attendance and al lowing outside influences to keep them from attending. One or two can not do it all, each must do a part. Large communities like Portland are able to build special buildings and be under heavy expense to conduct revival meetings. Other communities like Moro must depend on volunteer assistance to., compass the same ends. The revival meetings now held in M o ro is being assisted by Rev. VanNuys, who has left his home at H ood River to help with this work at Moro; he is doing this for the good of our commun ity and we in our turn should for ward the movement all we can in every way possible. People who ship goods by ex press or freight must remember that the war tax is to be paid on the shipment before the agent is allowed to bill them out.
