Happy day!
Early Thursday morning ap
proximately two inches of snow
fell on the ground, and was
there to greet the people as they
awakeped from sleep. It was a wet
snow, and the cars which had
“nobbles” could get around, but
otherwise chains were required-
The goose hunters had fun that
day too, with bucking the snow.
The snow left peacefully, not

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Until next Monday we will
all go about our daily rounds
saying “Merry Christinas” to
our friends. We will mean it. It
is the season for friendliness
and for good wishes and it is a
pleasant season, would that it
could be extended.
We send millions of cards all
of which say in one w ay or an
other,
Merry Chri^tmlas and
Happy New Year.
Even that
part of those cards that are en
gendered by commercial instincts
stems from good wishes.
It is
one of our few times for taking
an interest in our fellow man as
an individual.
Interest in Christmas presents
declines with age and the plea
sure of giving takes place of the
childish glee at receiving. There
is no age limit on wishing the
neighbors well, in hoping that
their day is rtierry and their

for you and
From where I ait, it’s good to
know people, like that young fel
low, who refuse to be treated any
different than anyone else. City
people and farmers— thoae of ns
who prefer cider and those who’d
ralner have a cool glass of temper
ate beer,—we’re all entitled to the
same privileges. That is. so long a*
what we do doesn’t conflict with
the Lw of the land.
