The congregation of the Chris
tian church will hold an all day
service next Sunday, Sept. 2nd.
in the grove at the old Kir by
place on Little Eagle Creek.
Open air Sunday School and
preaching at the usual morning
hour and a big community dinner
at 1 o'clock. In the afternoon a
line program will be rendered,
including talks by out-of-town
soeakers.
All will meet the church at 9
o'cIock, where autos will be pro
vided to take you to the grove.
Come early with the family and
stay all day, whether a member
of this or any other church or no
church at all. We will make you
feel the true spirit of Christian
fellowship that we teach.

of Salem: "Second Lieutenant
O. W. James, who has been visit
inc for the nast week with his
parents Dr. and Mrs. R. B. James!
of 112 State St., will leave today
for AniPrican Lake, where he will
be on duty at Camp Lewis. Lieu
tenant James will be kno.vn to
many in Salem as the teacher of
manual training for the last three
years in the junior high school
and the state boys training school.
He is a graduate of O. A. C."
