Handley, of Tillamook , believe« that the dairy herds of Tilla mook County should be tested for t u berculosis and will introduce a bill in the legislature which if enacted will a p point an inspector in Tillamook County to inspect the dairy herds. The duty of the inspector will be to examine all dairy herds and weed out all cattle infected with bovine tubercu losis. This will raise the quality of milk in the country and the people of my dis trict are anxious to s«-e it passed, he says. Senator Handley said th at he would meet a number of dairymen early this wet*k and the context of the bill would be gone over with them. WOODS ITEMS. Hannah Mathildia Anderson was born in Jefferson county, Iowa. Decem ber 16, 1855. She united with the Lutheran church and was confirmed at thi> age of 14 years. At the age of 22 she was married lo Axel Nelson. To j this union eight children were born, two died in infancy and Clarence, a son 27 years old. was drowned August 15, l'.*15. Besides the husband the children living are Mrs. Chas. Lundquist, Clover- dale; .Mrs Barker. P o rtla n d ; Mrs. Ko- dad, Tillamook; Frank and Frances who are at the family home. Bids Wanted.
