Mr. and Mrs. Foster Return Home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Foster, who for
the past six months have been visiting
in the east and middle west, returned
to their home in Cloverdale Saturday
evening of last week. Since their re
turn Mr. Foster has been slightly in
disposed and has not got around to
shake hands with all his old friends.
We. understand he was considerably dis
appointed to find on his return Clover
dale in the grasps of a regular eastern
winter, his hopes being that as soon as
he got west of the Cascades he would
breathe in the air of the almost ever
present Chinook zephyrs that the Nes-
tucca Valley is noted for.

maintains a tubular connection with
the submarine. An anaesthetic Is then
pumped from the submarine into the
hull o f the uttacked vessel.
