The dreadful disaster which be­ fell the Lusitania and snuffed out the lives of several hundred inno­ cent men, womeu and children has set more Americans to thinking than anything that has happened since the terrible war began. There are some questions that are not yet definitely settled, or in other words, there are parts of news re garding the Lusitania that have not been verified. For instance as to whether she carried armament for her own protection; this with other less important questions will be learned later on. But all this is not so important to the Ameri­ can public as is the question of what the United States will do in this matter.
