Rommelmann is also the author of the novel “The Bad Mother,” and the story collection “Trans- portation and Destination Gacy,” about a cross-coun- try journey to interview serial killer John Wayne Gacy shortly before his execution. “The Queens of Montague Street,” a mem- oir of growing up in 1970s Brooklyn Heights, was excerpted as a New York Times Magazine Lives column. She has written articles Cottage Tea for the LA Weekly, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other publications. Following Rommel- mann’s reading and Q&A, visiting writers will have the opportunity to read their work during an open mic session.
