Donations sought for
Christmas dinner baskets
American Legion
fundraiser
brings holiday
dinners for
those in need

Cannon Beach Gazette
The American Legion Post
168 in Cannon Beach is look-
ing for donations to help feed
families in need this holiday
season.
For more than 40 years,
the annual fundraiser provides
Christmas dinner to more than
65 families, with fixings like
turkey, stuffing, cranberry
sauce and other holiday sta-
ples. The Cannon Beach Li-
brary also donates a children’s
book for each box, and fam-
ilies can expect a sweet bag
of taffy from Bruce’s Candy
Kitchen.
This year, people can also
donate toys at a “giving tree”
at Columbia Bank, which will
then be distributed to families
with children, as well.
Members of the local cub
scout troop will deliver the
boxes to families Friday, Dec.
