For Spring Unveiling the Cannon
Beach Arts association is
presenting A Compendium of
Beasts at the Cannon Beach
Gallery. This juried exhibition
features selected works in
response to the theme of beasties,
real, mythical or imagined. The show is supported
by the City of Canon Beach, Tourism and Arts
Fund, The Ford Family Foundation, and is
sponsored by Cannon Beach Book Company and
Icefire Glassworks.
The submission day is on Wednesday May 4th,
10am – 4pm. The show will be juried the following
morning, and hung that afternoon. Full submission
details are available on the CBAA website, cannon-
beacharts.org. The exhibition will have an opening
reception on Saturday, May 7th, 6-8pm.
The organization hosts three juried exhibitions
each year, as a way to bring together a diverse array
of artworks, and as an opportunity for artists to
introduce their work to a diverse audience. In the
spirit of bringing artists together, there will also be
a morning networking event at the gallery on
Sunday, May 8th at 11am.
