easide’s “A Sweet
Affaire” has trans-
formed from a choc-
olate and wine venue asso-
ciated with Valentine’s Day
to an increasing representa-
tion of appetizers, desserts
or auction items from Iron
Chef Goes Coastal win-
ner’s and participants, and
Coast Weekend Favorite
Restaurants of 2015.
Past participants are re-
turning Sunday, March 6,
from 2 to 4:30 p.m. to serve
their signature small bites,
tempting treats, wines, lo-
cal brew, and non-alcohol-
ic beverages. Local chefs,
restaurateurs, vintners, and
brewers who have prepared
and donated the afternoon’s
appetizers, desserts, and
beverages will be on hand
at the Seaside Convention
and Civic Center.
Pianist Lynn Archibald,
pianist, will provide music
for the event. The silent and
live auctions include activ-
ities within and outside the
area, donated by merchants
and individuals.
“A Sweet Affaire” is
jointly sponsored by the
Sunset Park and Recre-
ation Foundation and the
Seaside Rotary Founda-
tion. The event proceeds
provide scholarships to
children, youth, and adults
to enable them to partici-
pate in the array of positive
lifestyle activities provid-
ed by the Sunset Empire
Park and Recreation Dis-
trict. Rotary proceeds fund
many school and commu-
nity projects.
Tickets for “A Sweet Af-
faire” are $35 and may be
purchased at US Bank, Sun-
set Pool, the Bob Chisholm
Community Center or at
