Cannon Beach Farmers Market makes summer debut
The Cannon Beach
Farmers Market returned
for its eighth straight sea-
son Tuesday, June 16, and
will continue every Tues-
day through Sept. 29. Held
in the City Hall parking
lot, near the intersection
of Hemlock and Gower
streets, the farmers market
RIIHUV ÀRZHUV DQG D ZLGH
variety of fresh produce,
pasture-raised meat, organ-
ic cheeses and hand-crafted
artisan food products. Mu-
sic, prepared food vendors
and community booths run
1 to 5 p.m.; all other ven-
dors run from 2 to 5 p.m.
This season, the market
has 25 vendors and four
prepared food booths. All of
the vendors from last sea-
son except for one will be
returning. These include the
Wine Shack, Fosse Farms
Inc., Cannaan Hill Farm,
Sweet Treats by George,
Skamokawa
Farmstead
Creamery, Cannon Beach
Sea Salt Co., Sea Level

shoppers;
vendors will accept sup-
plemental assistance pro-
gram cards. This season,
the Cannon Beach Farm-
ers Market is introducing a

Jason Schermerhorn with
help from his own chil-
dren, Jackson and Jasmine
Schermerhorn. In addition,
the kids will use a Farmers
Market Passport Program
while at the market to track
their attendance and activ-
ities.
The Hallmark Resort is
partnering with the farm-
ers market to raise funds
for this program by do-
nating a two-night stay at
their resort; there will be a
drawing for this prize. Any-
one interested in helping to

Sandi Lundy, chair of the

mittee, said that the Cannon
Beach Farmers Market has
become her primary food
source in the summertime.
