Hemlock Street: assistance provid-
ed to Cannon Beach Fire and Res-
cue. Person stuck in the elevator
at the Hallmark Resort.
6:39 p.m. 1200 block of South
Hemlock Drive: assistance provid-
ed to Seaside Police Department
with a felony warrant suspect.
During initial contact, suspect fled
on foot and was pursued. Suspect
was apprehended shortly after
and taken into custody.

at milepost 29: traffic complaint,
passed on from Oregon State
Police. Report by driver of vehicle
that intoxicated female passenger
was interfering with his ability to
operate the vehicle. Female highly
intoxicated and agitated. Parties
separated. Courtesy ride for female
and male passengers to the RV
Resort. When passengers obtained
possessions from driver’s vehicle,
saw bong and marijuana belong-
ing to male passenger in plain
view. Confiscated items for later
destruction. No citation issued.

Hemlock Street: suspicious circum-
stances: report of transient-looking
male looking for a room at mo-
tel. Caller felt that the male was
possibly “looking for something
else.” Male continued on his way.
Fifteen-minute time delay. Officer
advised.
11:47 p.m. East Second Street:
camping within city limits. Subject
warned for overnight camping. Di-
rections to camping spot provided.

7:24 a.m. Chapman Point:
probation violation. Subject con-
tacted for camping. On probation,
consent search, found alcohol and
pill bottle. Confiscated items.
11:50 a.m. 100 block of Arbor
Lane: code violation. Garbage and
house address numbers missing.
11:04 p.m. 400 block of Kim-
berly Court: assistance rendered.
Subject called stating raccoons
were in her garbage and would
not leave. Arrived and chased
them away. She tried to clean
up but, because of health issues,
became short of breath. Subject
denied medical attention, and
officer finished sweeping up her
garbage prior to leaving.

Beach Trail: camping within city
limits. Subject(s) warned for un-
lawful lodging.
5:30 p.m. West Gower Street:
other all. Complaint of a subject
dropping slices of pizza on the
pavement. Spoke with hotel
management. Subject removed
the pizza from the ground.

12:35 a.m. Sea Ranch RV Park:
call on a disturbance. Report of
loud group of campers. Officers
contacted group and advised
them to quiet down for the night.
Group agreed and went to bed.
11:25 p.m. U.S. Highway 101
at milepost 29: driving under the
influence of intoxicants. Subject
arrested and cited for DUII. Subject
had a blood-alcohol concentration
of 0.16 percent.

3:06 a.m. 700 block of South
Wahanna Road: mental hold by
police officer. Assisted with a DUII.
After further investigation, officers
determined the suspect was a dan-
ger to themselves. Suspect was
placed into a police officer hold
and taken to Providence Seaside
Hospital for evaluation.

1:49 p.m. 200 block of West
Second Street: missing person. Re-
port of a 3-year-old without parent
in area of Lands End Motel. Prior
to arrival, grandfather arrived and
took charge of child.
