GET GOOD SEED
There is abundance of proof
that it pays to be careful in se
lecting wheat seed and to get the
variety which is suited to the
conditions in sections in which it
is grown. In each wheat-grow
ing district there are varieties
which produce higher yields than
others even when both get the
same culture.

PERSHING ON THE JOB
We have grown so familiar
with Pershing's name that we
take him for granted and fail to
appreciate the magnitude of his
work and the great debt we owe
him. On the fruits of his- labor
depended Europe's estimate of
America and, although he had
countless opportunities for bung
ling, the work of the Americans
shows that he is on the job every
minute. Let's be thankful for
Pershing.
General Foch is personally of
small stature, still he is the big'
gest man in Europe.
Ten years or thereabouts will
give Debs opportunity to do a
little serious thinking.
It is probable that all the boys
of 17 and some few of the men
of 45 wish they were a year
older.
Some women swallow flattery
just as a baby swallows buttons
regardless of the trouble that
may follow.
. The world will forgive a man
for failing but not for giving up,
To take a day off is easy to
put it back impossible.
Gilliam went over the top in
good shape did you help?
