brought one hog to Condon
which tipped tho scales at 502
pounds. The animal wan pur
chased by II. C. .Strickland and
shipped to Portland. At the
prevailing price Mr., Palmer
would receive for the hog $56.83
and still there are some who con
tend that it does not pay to raise
hogs for the market
