The Court House
The Court House of Gilliam
County which was built in 1903
at n cost of $17,000.00 is a build
ing of which any county seat
might well be proud. It is
equipped with all modern con
veniences. The offices are all
finely finished throughout At
present the quarters of the Gil
liam County High School are es
tablished in this building.
St. Thomas Aquinas Academy
The St Thomas Aquina9 Acad
emy, which is almost completed,
will be the handsomest private
school building in this section of
the state. It is built of Condon
made bricks in the old Spanish
Mission style. The approximate
PC08t is $.'15,000.00, It is built
by the Catholics of Condon and
Gilliam County and will be con
ducted under the auspices of the
pominican Sisters. The building
is 64x98 feet and three stories
high, as, since the plans were
drawn, it was deemed advisable
to leave out one story. It is to
be heated by steam and lighted
by electricity. J. N. Bayliss of
