Quite a brilliant social event
was an informal reception given
by a number of young men in
Wade's Hall, Olex, Thanksgiving
eve. An elaborate literary and
musical program was followed by
a banquet consisting of several
courses, served by Misses Grace
Randall, Margaret Asheneflter,
Faith Hurt, Lula Mobley and
Leta Huey.
Beginning with next week's
issue, a certain space in this pa
per will be reserved each week
for the weather report of Charles
II. Williams, the local observer.
Many of our subscribers have
spoken highly of this feature in
a manner which proves beyond a
doubt that the observations of
local weather conditions is very

The Athletic Club has made a
schedule as follows: Basketball
and indoor baseball on Tuesday,
Thursday, and Saturday nights
and Sunday afternoons. All
other periods will be taken up
by Handball and general gym
nasium work. A set of wall ap
pliances will soon be added to the
apparatus of the Club. New
members are being elected at
each meeting of the board. The
adiea are allowed the priv
ileges oy the gymnasium on
Thursday afternoons and the
Schoolgirls on Saturday after
noons. Basketball games will be
secured in the near future and a
handball tournament will also be
given.
ICO GRANGE TO HOLD BIG
FAIR
The I20 Gransre will hold a big
Grange Fair at Allville on Friday
December the 18th. This is the
third year that this grange has
held this fair and heretofore it
has always been a decided suc
cess and everyone should help to
make a greater success of this

will be served at six to all those
present A dance will be
given in the evening with a sup
per served at midnight. T e
special features of the fair will be
a doll booth and a candy booth.

articles will be on sale. The pro
ceeds go t the benefit of the Igo
Grange and everyone should help
