Ajax Atoms.
Mr. and Mrs. James Burdon
have moved to the Ajax country
and are getting ready to build
on their homestead.
Mr. L S. Hines was a visitor
in this neighborhood last week.
Mrs. M. H. Eaton is visting
her parents for a few days.
Ed Palmer has started his
threshing machine. . -, .
Miss Lela Burres is at home
again after having spent several
weeks in John Underwood's
cook house.

The Fossil flouring mill re
sumed operations the first of the
week after being closed down
for several months.
Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Johnson
and little daughter returned
from Portland the latter part of
last week, whither Mrs. Johnson
went about a month ago on ac
count of the serious illness of
her sister, Mrs. 0. B. Robertson,
but who is now greatly improved.
The colored gentleman has re
signed his position in Johnson's
livery barn and has gone to Con
don. Journal.
