septic tank in the canyon, south

menced when the sewer was put
in last fall but was not; finished.
It is to be 16 feet square, and. 9

Harold - Hunt has returned

Hon. John Simons, formerly
mayor of Heppner and a resident
of that place for more than twen
ty-five years, was here thelatter

from a visit at Lone .Rock with
the Boone and Madden families.
Mr, .Simons has been actively en
gaged In the blacksmith , business,
since '184JTwhWhe 'stepped in' a
shop for the first time back
in old Missouri, and he did not
give up hammering .the anvil
until 18 months ago when he
retired from business. ) This was
his first visit to Condon and was
somewhat surprised 'to notice so
thriving a town In, 'this section
