Port Frizzell is remembered bv
many in this city for excellence
in athletics while a student at the
University of Oregon and hav
ing starred on the Multnomah
football team. He has been vis
iting his parents for two or three
weeks and left Tuesday for Mex
ico where he is employed by a
mining syndicate. Mr. Frizzell
said that there was quite a
change in the Mitchell country

Dr. Kennedy, of Arlington,
was in Condon Monday and Tues
day making arrangements
for the music during
the three days' celebra
tion. The doctor said in speak
ing of the musical part of the
celebration: "Arlington is going
to send its mixed band to Con
don and we will help you to cel
ebrate joyfully. Our band con
sists of both ladies and men and
a special orchestra will furnish
good music for the dances." A
violin player from either Port
5fepd or Walla Walla may be
secured to complete the orchestra

render patriotic selections at the
exercises to be conducted at the
skating rink which will be dec
orated for the occasion
