Ppeaks as follows: "I am willing to
risk my reputation as a public man
if the worst case of smallpox cannot
be effectually cured in three days,
simply by cream of tartar. This is
the sure and never failing remedy:
One ounce of cream of tartar dis
solved in a pint of bo'ling water,
to be drank, when cold, at short
intervals. It is known to have
cared in 1000 cases, without a fail
ure. I have myself restored hunoV
reds by this means. It never
leaves a mark, never causes blind
ness, and always prevents tedious
lingering. If the people would on
ly try it and report all the cures to
you, you would require to employ
many columns if you gave them
publicity.
