day at her home in Maine. Mis Barker
visited in Condon for several months a
year or so sgo and waa well known to
many of our people who will regret to

operation for the removal of cataracts
from his eyes. The unfortunate young

tion. It will be several months, howev
er, before he can tee again.
Geo Earhart met with quite a lota at
Ontario, in Malhenr county, last week

on the O.S.L. railroad track, waa truck
by a train and about 400 of the animal
were klllad. Mr. Earhart returned from
Ontario last Thursday where he went to
see about the lot. He has filed a claim

W. W. Bundy and his nephew, O. D.
Unlsness, of Dakota, are here buying
more land. Mr. Bundy was here last
summer with several other gentlemen,
all of whom Invested In some land at
that time and they are so well pleated
with the country that the two gentlemen

acres from Judge J. B. Mattingly,

of Edward Dunn vs tha Canty Court of
(iillia.n County. The case grew out of
the appointment of Mr. Du'i'i ai
administrator of the estate of tl h'tr
Chas. Fii and his subsequent remov-
itl by the county court. Th removal
was aoinewhtit suinmary and Mr. Uunu
through his attorney, 8. E. Van Vtictor,
curried tha case to the circuit court to be
reviewed. The case was submitted
some time ago. The decision Suds that
the removal of Mr. Dunn as administra
tor was unlawful and that his original
appointment still stands.

residence of the bride's paients, Mr. and
Mrs. W.M. Hawes, on Wednesday Dec.
24, 1002, when their daughtert Miss
Maggie Hawes and Mr. Bay Moore, son
of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Moore were made
one. Elder W. A. Goodwin, of the L.D.
8. church, performed the ceremony and
tied the knot which made these two
young hearts one, in the most approved
fashion. A nu uiber of guests were pres
ent to witness the ceremony including
the immediate relatives and a few close
