Deceased was born in Iowa, August 3,
1833 and wat 64 years and 14 days old at
the lime of his death, lie came to Or

Creek, in this county, 30 years ago and
hat been ft continuous resident of the

In 18-Yf ha married Martha Ann Wal
drip by whom he had seven children.
She died in 1884 and of her children all
but one son, Charles Stricklln, have al
to been laid to rest.
. In 1S85 lie married Mra. Eva Miller
and by her had four children. Two of
them are dead, the youngest ton, aged
live years, having preceded hit father to
the better world by only two weeka.
Hit tun, Harry, a young man of much
promise and excellent qaulities, died
six months ago and from tha grief oc
casioned by his death the father never
recovered. Mr, Stricklin wat an excel
lent citizen, ft good neighbor and an in
dulgent parent. He waa universally re
spected and his going will leave another
gap in the rapidly declining ranks of

We will go on to the soda springs at Can
yon and stop for a few days and then to
the springs on Rylvie t river, then : to
Logan valley and from there to Tonip
