A number of "Bob White" quail and
Chinese pheasanta have been teen on
lower Rock creek this Summer. Andrew
Grelner brought a few pair of these
blrdt from the Willamette valley about
four veart ago and liberated them on bit
ranch In Mayville precinct. They were
teen on Thlrtyuile eeveral timet after
being turned loose but finally disappear
ed from there altogether, It it now
thought possible that these blrdt may
have migrated to Rock creek and that
the oveya seen there are tbelr descend
ants. If ancli It the case it may be taken
as pretty good evidence that these One

Fossil has been arranged for next Sun
day afternoon on the Condon diamond.

ience to the people but would also effect
a considerable saving in ex press charges.

Virgil, the five year old ton of Mr.
and Mrt. D. F. Strlcklin, died at the
family home on Rock creek, last Friday
evening, of brain fever. The earnest
sy my a thy of a large circle of friendt will
go forth to the grief stricken family.

Wrecked a Rig.
Josh llardie wat in from Trail Fork
yesterday getting tome repair work done
to hit buggy which wat made necessary
by a runaway the day before. He has
a rather mettlesome team of driven and
by accident they got away from him on
the day mentioned and took a spin on
their own account. They took the rig
through two or three wire fences and the
wonder it that there waa enough of the
buggy left to pay a blacksmith bill on.
As it wat the buggy waa somewhat dis
abled and the team received some ugly
scratches. .
