job printer, has accepted a position as
foreman of the mechanical department
of the Globe office, and the establish
ment is iu a better position than ever
before to attend to the wants of its cus
tomers in an expeditious manner. The
office has been working short-handed
for a few months, but from now on we
expect to give onr readers a better news
paper, our advertisers a better medium,
and the patrons of our jub department
quicker and more satisfactory service.
We thank our many patrons for past fa
vors, aud expect to merit a continuance
of the same in the future.
The Populist Convention.
By an oversight the Globe was not
furnished with a report of the Popnlist
eonnty convention, which met in this
city on Saturday, March 31, in time for
our last issue, which accounts for the de
lay of the report which follows : The con
vention met at 10 o'clock A. M. in the

Frank Little has been on the sick list
but is better.

The Public School closed here last
Friday with an interesting programme,
