CHRISTMAS
AT CONDON.
PIQEON SHOOT, CARNIVAL, BALL.
How th Day Will b8pent In Cllll-
am'sCapltal. A few Attractions,
Where to Buy Your Qoods.
There will be a "hot time in the old
town" nest Monday and Monday nl(ht.
All the little tykes will be out of bed un
common early that morning and, amid
sundry shrieks aud howls of delight,
will give their undivided attention to
eiploring the depths of tbe Chrlatmss
stocking before breakfast. As tbe little
ones Iwgln to shake olf the drowsy god
and dig the bright eyes open with pudgy
sts the "Merry Christmas" call will be
heard In all tbe blessed bomes where
children are and the oldorand crankier
ones will And themselves wishing for
ustone morry, happy, childish Christ
mas.
After a light breakfast light to en
courage a suitable appetite for the big
Chriatmaa dinner, and while th ladiea,
God bleaa ' them, are preparing that
same tbe masculine portion of the
community will don their Sunday suits
nd sauuter around town looking for
Christmas. They will not need specta
cles to find it either, for the commodity
will be found scattered around town In
great profusion and Its name will be
legion.
Of course there will be many things
wanted for tbe wlvea, babies and best
girla which were overlooked when the
stockings wer Oiled up the night before,
and it won't make roucb difference
hether the prospective purchsaers
drop in" at Dunn's, Barker's or Steph
enson's, Hudson's Pharmacy or Condon
Drug Co's, Jackson & Dysart's or Al
Ilensbaw's, they will find a plenty of
useful and ornamental articles and good
things to eat, drink and smoke, to make
their selections from.
After these things bave been attended
tb crowd may congregate at th
Globe office where each one will be al
lowed to square all arrearages and pay
year in advance and no questions will
be asked, Strangers may become sub
scribers, on this occasion, without being
hientiued, by depositing $1.60 with the
editor, merely as an evidence of good
faith, and each one will be presented
with a neat souvenir ss a memento of tbe
loyful occasion. The crowd will then be
dismissed with our beat benediction
nd, if the aleighing continues fine, thev
will nest interview Bprlngston & Rogera
and Dan Rinebart about tbe price of
alelgh rides which will be found emi
nently sstiafactory to all tbe fortunate
fellows, fond of blonde or brunette beau
ties, whom they want to take out for a
swirling swimming spin 'twist snow and
stars. If they need anv eitra aleish-
bells for the occasion they can get them
from Jno. F. Relsacber.
Along towards noon, when tbe crowd
all get together, everybody will make a
grand rush for Syl's barber shop to get
Christmas shave and. of course, most
of Iheru will have to have a hair-cut to.
After getting scraped and trimmed
tbose who begin to feel nervous about
the score they hope to make at the pig
eon shoot in the afternoon, may call on
barhart 4 Wilson for a cigar or some
thingto steady their nerves, you know,
while others, who are afraid of taking
cold may "drop over" to Jean's place
and "say something" to their friends
to keep the cold Out. There will be just
time before dinner to bowl a game at
Charlie Fix's and afterwards Charlie
Wilson may be called upon for a vin
frappe all around. About this time the
dinner bell will ring and there will be
a grand rush, by all who don't eat at
home for first place at the "Model," the
Condon hotel or at Rinehart'a restart
rant where fine fat turkey will be fur
nished for all hungry people,
Alter dinner tbe pigeon shoot will en
gross the attention of the men and boys
and it will bo one of the biggest sporting
events ever held in tbe county. Kven if
you "never shot a shoot in your life and
have no hankerin' arter a gun," vou
don't want to miss this event for it will
be GREAT.
While the shootinir is in nrorrM tha
ladies will be holding a high jinks carni
val of some sort at Armory ball to which
no man will be admitted. They flatly
refuse to toll the editor what is on the
program but claim it will beat tkiin
shooting all hollow and that all the worn.
en and children in this part of tbe state
win do mere.
Last but not least will be the G rand
Ball in the evening. There will be a
sound of revelry that nisht and Gilliam's
capital will gather then her beauty and
her chivalry and bright the lamps will
shino o'er fair women and brave men.
There is no joke about thia and if yon
re iouiihu enougn to miss it you will
naie yourseu trie rest of tha year.
These are only a few of the attractions
that Condon will offer on Christmas and
as we want to see every body enjoy the
aay 10 me utmost, we hope to see them
come tins way and enjoy aome Condon
unristmas cueer.
