NON-ALCOHOLIC.
No man who lives on meat was ever
known to lick his wife, or ask for a
divorce. A vegetable diet woman is as
cold and clammy as a turnip. If you
want your girl to have rosy cheeks and
vitality in tier motion, feed' her on beef
steak with occasional doses of Dr. Haw-'
son's Tonic Bitters.' Sold everywhere.
The Wasco Warehouse Co. has wool
sacks, fleece twine and Back twine for
sale at Arlington.
Deputy Stock Inspectors.
I have appointed as my deputies the following
persons:
W. H, Colwell, Arlington.
L. B. Townsend, Condon.
Fred A. Hale, Fossil. ,
R. M. Johnson. Lone Rock.
Stock Inspector tot William County, Oregon.
To The Public. " ' "
I have taken charge of the old Pod
son livery stables in Arlington and hope
my friends from everywherewill remem
ber rue when they come to town. Aly
rates are very moderate and the very
best care is taken of stock left in my care.
Give me a chance. J. t. Thomas.
Good Advice.
Don't let whisky get the best of yon,
but if vou want the best of whisky,
wines, beer, liquors and cigars, the place
to find them is at the Summit Saloon,
in the old (true store building. A tine
pool and billiard parlor in connection
Drop in and see for vourselves. The
finest line of "wet goods" in the city.
The Wasco Warehouse Co. has wool
sacks, fleece twine and sack twine for
sale at Arlington.
Seed Potatoes for Sale.
1 have at my ranch near Clem two varieties of
fine potatoes one purple, with white aronnd the
eyes that I imported, and Is called the "Centen
nial;" the other I originated here and have
named it "The Gold Standard," because I don't
think it will depreciate in value as a wholesome
food. Both kinds are snow-white inside and of
a most delicious flavor. They are easily grown
witnout cultivation, ana ine yieia is very large,
They grow to enormoas size, many of them 2
and 6 pounds Apiece. I can spare a few of these
potatoes for seed at 2c per 100-lb lots, or 2' ,c for
Bmuuenois, at my ranen. inose wanting an'
of them must order soon, as the supply is limited
