The Woman's club of Metzger
was entertained Wednesday at a
St. Patrick's Day luncheon fov
Mrs.' Royal and Mrs. Peters at
the home of the former.
The table was artistically dec
orated with spring flowers, green
predominating. '
The place-cards were in the
shape of the typtical "oldcoun
try" hat of green.
The color scheme was also car
ried out in the shamrock-border
ed napkins. ' '
Everyone spent a most pleas
ant afternoon, and the spirit of
mirth and harmony; which pre
vailed, was very evident.

The people of Metzger, at the
instigation of the Parent-Teach
era circle, each donated what
they could afford in money or
work, and' have built a mile of
sidewalk, four flanks in width,
extending nearly through the
entire tract.
